报告摘要：

Robust computation is important in machine learning and computer vision because both data and intermediate computational results may contain outliers. Real-world data often includes noise, measurement errors, or corrupted samples, while algorithmic outputs, such as predictions in ensemble learning and test-time augmentation, may also produce abnormal values. Standard methods can be sensitive to these outliers, which may distort model estimation and degrade performance. Robust approaches reduce the influence of such extreme values, leading to more stable models and more reliable results in practical applications. In this talk, I will discuss various aspects of robust computation, with a particular focus on the recent SNAP approach, which is based on the Self-coNsistent Agreement Principle, and its practical applications.

主讲人简介：

蒋晓毅，德国明思特大学数学与计算机科学系教授。蒋晓毅教授在北京大学获得计算机科学学士学位，随后在瑞士伯尔尼大学获得博士学位及任教资格（Habilitation）。他曾任德国柏林工业大学副教授，自2002年起担任德国明斯特大学计算机科学教授。2016年至2023年期间，他担任明斯特大学数学与计算机科学学院院长。蒋晓毅教授的研究方向主要包括计算机视觉、模式识别与机器学习，并在生物医学图像分析等跨学科研究领域开展了广泛合作。蒋晓毅教授是国际模式识别学会（IAPR）会士和亚洲人工智能协会（AAIA）会士。目前，他担任国际期刊《International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence》主编。此前，他曾担任多个国际知名期刊的编委，包括《IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics》《IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging》《Pattern Recognition》和《Journal of Big Data》。蒋晓毅教授多年来服务于不同的学术机构，目前担任德国华人教授学会主席、ISBI (Int. Symposium on Biomedical Imaging) Steering Committee 主席，曾担任IEEE EMBS Technical Committee on Biomedical Imaging and Image Processing (BIIP) 主席、德国模式识别学会Executive Board成员及技术委员会主席。
